Our Team

Greg is the point engineer for net-zero energy (NZE) buildings, LEED projects, and renewable energy technologies for Go Sustainable Energy. Greg serves as the technical lead for all energy simulation related work at Go Sustainable Energy. He has completed over sixty ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G compliant energy models and has performed and overseen the technical review of dozens more. As a project team member, he regularly participates on commissioning, energy auditing, measurement & verification (M&V), and portfolio-scale utility data analysis projects. He assisted in the development of complex algorithms to assist clients with portfolio-scale approaches to energy efficiency implementation.

Greg oversees business development, client outreach, and project management while championing the company's pioneering services. He has served as lead or co-author on eight peer-reviewed publications regarding net-zero energy, energy efficiency, and multi-site energy analysis.

Greg continuously educates himself about the state of NZE buildings, technology, and the state of the industry. This allows him to present about NZE concepts to the public. He is driven by his passion for NZE's adoption and normalization and NZE's potential to drastically reduce humanity's reliance on fossil fuels. Life-cycle cost-effective NZE buildings empower owners to better control their interactions with a constantly volatile utility infrastructure.

Greg received his BS (2005) and MS (2007) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton (UD). Greg was actively involved as the co-president of the UD Sustainability Club, and in the Berry Scholars Program. He worked with the UD Industrial Assessment Center and co-founded the UD Building Energy Center (BEC). Greg published his graduate thesis on residential energy efficiency, net-zero energy design, and existing building retrofits.

As a LEED AP BD+C, Greg's involvement with the USGBC has included participation in his local chapter, attending local and national green building conferences, and educating prospective LEED APs. Greg served as the technical editor for four books in the "For Dummies™" series dealing with residential solar energy, residential energy efficiency, and alternative energy sources.

Greg is our team's "barefoot" runner and makes sure that everyone takes a running or walking break each afternoon. You'd be surprised how many walking meetings we've had!
