Shawn Brown, Ph.D., Go Sustainable Energy

Shawn is Go’s technical and project lead for utility-scale M&V and main point of contact for all work in DP&L territory. He has overseen hundreds of utility-scale M&V projects, which have measured energy savings on compressed air systems, industrial equipment, chiller plants, pumping systems, HVAC, et cetera. Shawn’s natural proclivity for perfectionism brings necessary exactness to his work.

As a skilled computer programmer, Shawn also leads Go’s intellectual property development. He recently condensed our team’s deep and practical energy experience into a tool called Energy Regression Generator (ERG), which can almost instantaneously analyze millions of utility data accounts to disaggregate space conditioning, temperature change-points, and baseload energy consumption. ERG is the platform that allows Go to cost- and time-effectively perform portfolio energy analysis and consulting services.

Shawn has been coaching soccer for ten years. He is currently a high school girls’ soccer coach and a club soccer coach. He has his state, regional, and national soccer goalkeeping coaching diplomas. A primary goal he has as a coach is to create great memories for his players. Many years from now he wants them to look back on all the good times we had both on and off the pitch.
