Katrina Schock
Katrina is an energy engineer that serves our healthcare clients as part of our embedded energy management team and contributes to energy audits, measurement & verification, commissioning, and other technical analysis projects. Katrina’s work has always focused on sustainability, working at engineering consulting firms incorporating energy efficiency into building design through LEED program management, conducting measurement and verification for utility companies, and providing comprehensive energy assessments and strategic energy management for commercial and manufacturing facilities. Just prior to joining Go, Katrina turned her focus on sustainability toward her community, applying her energy efficiency experience and skills to work for Dayton Energy Collaborative, a nonprofit organization focused on creating sustainable and equitable energy programming for low-income neighborhoods.
Katrina received her Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and Master of Science in Renewable & Clean Energy from the University of Dayton (UD). During her time at UD, Katrina became involved with ETHOS, a program dedicated to engineering immersion service projects around the world, and she spent several summers working on bio-sand water filters in Cameroon and renewable energy technologies in southern India. These experiences, along with her love of the outdoors, inspired her to dedicate her career to sustainability efforts and to continue graduate coursework in the same field.
During her free time, Katrina enjoys spending as much time as possible outside: backpacking & hiking, swimming, biking, running, and gardening. She loves to plan adventures, big and small, and was lucky enough to take a five-month break in between jobs to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail. When she is not outside, Katrina enjoys cooking, baking, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
