Lindsay Johnson, CPA, CGMA
As Go’s Controller, Lindsay brings a deep understanding of our financial systems and reporting and looks to share that with the team to help make better decisions for the company as we grow. She partners with all areas of the organization to better understand the business as a whole and provides insight into different strategies to expand. She has oversight of the financial process including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial statements.
Prior to working at Go, Lindsay was the Controller of a Water Treatment company where she implemented processes and procedures as well as full closeout schedule. She took the company from an accounting department of one person to four people, creating the structure, timelines, and systems for the entire accounting department. She was also the lead in implementing and utilizing the accounting software to facilitate reporting for the organization. Prior to that, she worked for an electric company in Tampa, FL where she specialized in cost recovery clause accounting.
Lindsay received her B.S. degree in Accountancy as well as her M.S. degree in Accountancy from the University of Tampa in Tampa, FL. While working in Tampa, she also received her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and achieved her Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification. While her CPA taught her all the logistics of accounting, her CGMA designation taught her how to take that analysis and apply it to helping manage a company. While attending the University of Tampa, she was also a member of the 2007 Division II Women’s Soccer National Championship team.
When she’s not immersed in numbers, she loves to create. She enjoys sewing and crocheting and finding new ways to make old things useful again. She’s an animal lover and enjoys spending time outdoors tending to her garden and finding new spaces to grow native plants and enrich her own ecosystem by helping create more biodiversity. She loves to make different foods from scratch, including bread, ice cream, dressings, and cookies. She loves spending time outdoors with her husband and son, no matter the season.
