Neil Wittberg, PE, CEM
Neil is one of Go’s commercial energy experts and is a skilled energy modeler. He participates on energy audits, commissioning projects, and measurement & verification (M&V) projects. Before Go, Neil worked for an energy services company as an energy engineer. There, he conducted energy audits, developed self-funding projects, performed energy simulations, and worked extensively with utility incentive programs. Neil also has specific experience with building controls and automation systems. He received his Niagara AX certification and has worked on several large controls projects.
Neil currently serves as Go’s project lead, client point of contact, and primary engineer for our Energy Management engagement for one of our large hospital clients. Working with a large hospital has been very educational and has given Neil unique insight into the energy goals and efficiency challenges that exist in the healthcare system. While serving in his role as energy manager, Neil has assisted in identifying opportunities, calculating savings, securing rebates, and engaging key stakeholders for several large energy savings projects. These projects include LED lighting conversions, kitchen exhaust hood controls, operating room setbacks, and chilled water system selection and optimizations. This engagement started in 2017 and to date, we have assisted the campus with increasing its Energy Star score by over 40 points.
On Thursday evenings, Neil juggles with Jest Jugglers in Columbus. You may spot Neil juggling in the Circleville pumpkin show or at the April fool’s parade in Columbus every year. Neil is also an avid cyclist and tinkerer who would love to discuss and fix your bike problems!
